This is a zombie horror comedy (splatstick zombie) flick, so most of it is done for laughs, albeit with an incredibly dark and twisted sense of humor. It is one of the goriest films ever made. It has to be stressed how gory this film is. This film contains frequent comic bloody violence and very strong gory horror (high impact horror violence, blood and gore). It’s horrifically gory. It’s regarded as the bloodiest of all time (measured in amount of blood used during the production of the film). 300 liters of fake blood was used in the final scene of the film. During the lawnmower scene, movie blood was pumped at five gallons per second.
